The Royal Mail formally occupied this important town centre location having developed a period listed building. This building was constructed in two halves front Edward Street and Abingdon Street. It was designed to redevelop the site with a multi use development initial biased towards retail, but latterly with a hotel located to Eddward Street and leisure use to Abingdon Street.
