Situated to the south of the city of Lancaster The Mill building was a former flour mill, with the water course still existing, which had previously been converted to a public house. It was desired to develop the business with a function room which could be a wedding venue. The brief required to provide additional bedroom accommodation which would include a bridal suite, dining room for 120 guests, rationalisng the reception facilities, car parking and access.
The design features of the main building were used in the extension, including sandstone masonry and timber sash windows.
